Fair housing intensive
Anne Jones & her husband Dave own Windermere Abode in Old Town Tacoma and are partners with Jasmyn Jefferson in the newly opened Windermere Abode Lakewood. As owners they dismiss the idea that businesses should be politically neutral. They incorporate community & social justice initiatives into their focus with the hope of making real estate a more diverse and inclusive space. Dave was the first black owner of a Windermere office, and Jasmyn is the second. Jasmyn is a past Women's Council President and has served on many local and state committees. She is also the key contact for Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland. The Jones’ were Inman's Person of the Year in 2020, and have used their platforms to be outspoken advocates for change inside the industry. Tracie & Heather will be having an open discussion with Anne & Jasmyn on the topic of Fair Housing - the history, where we are currently, what we as agents should know on the topic and most importantly what we should be doing to help diversify homeownership (and Realtor membership!) in our area.
